  •  This is a significant jump from your summer paper 2 despite being twice as long which is really encouraging. You've answered the questions on the clip very well.

  • The area to improve is the 20-mark essay questions. Plan your answers, focus on the question and offer detailed examples from the CSPs
  • For Q5, I'm not sure if timing or the synoptic element was the problem:one to reflect on

3) Use the mark scheme for this assessment to identify three points you could have made in any of the questions in Section A( Television). Look for the indicative content in the mark scheme - these are the suggest answers from AQA.

  1. The teen drama genre is supported throughout with fast-paced,driving drum beat rock music which changes to a more eerier minor key typical of sci-fi when the action moves to the alien landscape.
  2. The hybridity of the episode is demonstrated in the extract through use of mise-en-scene, choice of characters, typical storylines, lighting, colour palette , typography and use of sound reflecting a range of codes and conventions recognisably drawn from all three genres.
  3. The characteristic mise-en-scene of the teen drama is demonstrated in the extract with locations such as school rooms and teen bedrooms while wide angle shots of other worlds and dystopian landscapes establish sci-fi conventions and medieval castles lit by flaming torches suggest fantasy to the viewer.
4)There are three 20-mark essay questions in Media Paper 2. What will you do to improve your performance in the 20-mark essays in the March PPE's?

For the March PPE's, I will attempt to work on timing, practise past papers and try to learn more knowledge of the CSPs in order to write more for the answers . ( 4-5 paragraphs + intro/conclusion)

5) Questions 5 is a synoptic question that requires you to refer to the other CSPs. What other CSPs could you have used for this Question 5 on Zoella and celebrity?

Other CSPs that would have been relevant to the questions are : Reveal, Galaxy, NHS represent, Kim Kardashian : Hollywood.

Coursework : Preliminary exercise ( Planning)

Statement of Intent (100 words) I plan to make a 30 second advert for         . I will add fast pace editing to create tension and the sensation of rush. Low , high and normal angle camera shots will make the adv visually exciting and making the "awesomeness" of the brand stand out while also showing the importance of the being 'late to class' narrative. I will make the normal representation of young people ; careless, unorganised , always late , sporty.
