RECEPTION THEORY 1. Preferred reading of media text is the message that the producer wants to portray to the audience. 2. Oppositional reading is when the audience ignore the meaning the producer is trying to give and          instead using their beliefs and values come up with another meaning. 3. The audience will respond to the teenage character in this film in a negative way. This is because        in the trailer the teenagers are presented in a negative way connoting their aggressive and                    malicious  attitude. 4. A younger audience would reject this reading and construct an oppositional reading of the trailer        because the trailer is suggesting that  "all" young people are troublesome and aggressive, which is      false. The soft ,  kind young people would feel offended by this therefore changing their thought to      the negative side of the trailer. 5. A preferred reading of this advert is that the product looks very tasty
