Denotation In this picture you can see a young boy wearing a dark blue jumper.In this picture you can also see a wall that's breaking apart. Connotations The dark blue jumper that that looks really worn out successfully connotes the lack of water the boy has. The wooden chair the boy is sitting on suggests the poor background he comes from.The colour of wall shows how he possibly lives in a desert area.The houses in the background reveals the poor conditions the boy lives in due to his lack in wealth. Analysis The facial expression that is expressed by the young boy makes the audience feel sympathetic towards the boy as he is giving a frown to show his sadness.The use of the inadequate blue jumper makes the audience feel guilt as they know they could prevent children from living lives like this if they gave some of the money they earned over to the charities that take care of them.The audience feels pity towards the boy as its clearly reveals the type of atmosphe

VIBRANT PALETTE I have chosen a vibrant colour palette.The effect I was trying to portray was to use really bright colours to make a positive atmosphere . 

Language The film poster utilises sans-serif font to communicate to the audience that this is a modern film .There are multiple colour schemes however a predominant colour scheme are black,red and grey.These colours are typically used to suggest nearby danger which is also implied through Dwayne Johnson's facial expression ; in which he seems nervous yet brave. Industries The film was produced by Legendary Pictures then distributed by Universal Pictures. Legendary Pictures is rarely talked about production company however they have made many popular franchises like the Jurassic Park trilogy and for publishing vast amounts of DC movies.  Audience The target audience for Skyscraper would be mature teenagers and above due to the action and thrill which the audience is able to see from the poster . The last TV programme I watched was called "Insatiable." 5) Why do you think that TV programme or film appealed to an audience? I think the TV programme appealed to an audience because it is to do with a girl who was obese but then lost weight,she thought life was going to be easier but it was the same life she had before.It shows the audience that whatever your appearance life wont change ,the only way to change is it to make good choices in life. 6) What technology have you used to access the media in the last 24 hours?
